Corporate Holiday Gifting Guide

Buying gifts for employees, clients, and vendors can be daunting. Finding something that is equally useful, budget-friendly, and wanted can feel like you’re in search of a unicorn. If you’ve sent the same gift year after year and are ready to mix things up, but don’t know where to start, let our gifting guide help. These tips will help you find the perfect gift for your audience within your budget.

1. Know your audience and your goal.

It’s important to clearly identify your audience and goal before setting out to find the perfect gift. Is the goal to reward your sales team for a great year or maybe you’re looking to thank your clients for their patronage. Whoever the audience is, understanding the goal is the first step to finding a great gift.

2. Identify the budget and any recipient restrictions.

Knowing your budget should be fairly easy. The next step is breaking down your per/recipient budget. This is a great way to finalize your recipient list early so that you don’t exclude anyone when ordering. The other important step with identifying your recipients is understanding any restrictions their industry or organization may have on receiving gifts. If a client can only accept gifts under $25, it’s important to know that in the beginning before you invest $100s on a custom piece.

3. Order Extra!

You’ve made your list and checked it twice but what happens when your top client’s package is lost in transit or when you get the call that your client’s boss would love to have one, too? If you haven’t prepared for this moment by ordering a few extra items, you’ll be disappointing someone.

4. Choosing Sizes

If you’ve decided to send apparel this year, you’ll need to make the decision on what size to send. The first step is to identify anyone your team has a personal relationship with and get their best guess for sizing. Then move on to everyone else. If the team hasn’t met or isn’t sure of the size of the recipient, it’s best to size up. When you don’t know your recipient we usually recommend ordering quantities in this order: Adult Large, Adult XL, Adult Medium, Adult XXL, Adult Small. The last two can be minimal or excluded entirely, depending on your audience.

5. Find a vendor you can trust

Having a vendor you can trust is essential for the success of your holiday gifting project. If something goes wrong, you need to trust that your vendor will fix the issue and not leave you stranded without gifts for your team or clients. A great vendor can guide you through the process to ensure you’re maximizing your budget with quality items your recipients will love. Their experience can help you finalize decisions and choose the perfect gift. Having a direct contact makes all the difference when it comes to the personalized service you receive.

We hope you find these tips helpful as you begin to plan your holiday gifts. As we move closer to the holiday season, this post will serve as an index to the more specific holiday guides we publish.
